I have the privilege of spending time with the Lord every morning. I just wish I took advantage of every morning! Contrary to popular belief or who you ask, I am normal..... well somewhat normal. I have a wife, two kids, job, chores, and a few hobbies I could do without. Sometimes it is hard to get up and read, pray, and spend time with the Lord. But, the more I do, the more I want to. I heard a great preacher say " I can tell how much you love the Lord by your calendar and checkbook". I agree...

Koinoinia- or fellowship is a key element for any believer. Fellowship serves several purposes in the life of a christian. First and foremost it is biblical. Fellowship with other believers; They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship , to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:42 , Fellowship with Jesus; God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Cor. 1:9 , and fellowship with the...

I was reading in 1 Peter chapter 2 this morning and verse 8 just stood out to me. It reads and, "A STONE OF STUMBLING AND A ROCK OF OFFENSE", for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed. Jesus is called a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense. Some will stumble over Christ because they reject him or refuse to believe that He is who He says He is. I was so reminded through my salvation testimony, how many times I tripped,...

What is imagination? What word does imagination come from? Image, an image is picture burned into our minds. John Piper writes "The mighty act of God in which, by His word alone, He brought into existence the universe and everything in it; sometimes called creation (ex nihilo) “out of nothing” In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters....

Wow, what a week. I really believe God spoke to us through Chip this week. I was blessed enough to spend some one-on-one time with Chip and the Lord really used him to say some things I needed to hear. Although, a lot of what he told me was stuff I have heard before. Isn't that crazy? I heard it before, I knew it, but I never really heard it. Its not that I wasn't listening before because I obviously remembered hearing it, its that I chose not to apply it to my life.
You see, we can have all...

Who would have ever thought? Family driven ministry... What a concept. Families being, well families; just as God intended. Ever since I was a young man I craved family time. I saw it from my friends families, I knew what it was, but sharing it with friends families was like borrowing someone's car. It is nice but it still isn't yours. I don't blame it on my parents, they were not living for the Lord. So they really didn't know how. They did not know what family time was. Children and...

If you have never been out of the bible belt, you are missing an eye opening opportunity! There was a group of eleven Lifepoint Church members who got to bless a family with the labor of love in Helena, Montana this fall. Although the physical work that was performed was awesome to see, the work God was doing in the lives of these eleven church members was even greater. It was an incredible sight to see God doing so much in such a short period of time. You see, when you get away from the "norm",...

Today, as I walked into the office after a day of meetings, hospital visits, and a couple of mishaps, in the pouring down rain no less, I stumbled upon a quick lesson on website design 101 between a couple of our staff guys. They were laughing and having great time working together. Not that I was having a tough day, but we all have challenging days sometimes. Listen, there was absolutely no way anyone could have walked into that office and left without a smile! I was so reminded how our...
